OUR MISSION
To liberate every body in pain — from shame, misinformation, and collapse.
We teach radical tools for women in chronic pain, menopause, anxiety, and midlife mayhem — tools that actually work, born from lived experience and forged through the art of adaptation.
We teach movement for bodies that don’t move like they used to — gently, creatively, and without shame. That includes:
-
Body-positive yoga retreats for chronic pain, menopause, anxiety, and mobility loss
-
BedAsana™ (Yoga practiced in bed)
-
MicroMoves™ — One to three minute wins for when the gym feels impossible. No pressure. No shame.
-
Mobility hacks
-
Beauty as medicine
We make daily life feel human again by weaving dignity, pleasure, and strength into every choice — from your pillowcase to your posture.
And we bring people together — online, in bed, in retreat, and across the world — because healing isn’t a solo sport.
Body-Positive Yoga Retreats
All of our retreats are body-positive, supportive, and shame-free sanctuaries.
If you mention a diet, step on a scale, or talk about “getting your pre-baby body back,” we’ll lovingly escort you to the ocean and make you do affirmations until you mean them.
Our instructors are trauma-informed, plus-size experienced, and experts in adaptation. We center comfort, consent, and community. No pushing, no pressure—just powerful transformation for bodies that haven’t felt safe or supported in a long time.
Retreats begin in January 2026. Full details coming soon.
Early interest perks available for January 2026 retreats.
Let us know you’re curious — we’ll send details and a retreat early-bird gift to all!
About The Founder
Suzanne Gracan
Yoga Instructor | Author | Adaptive Movement Expert
In 2000, I fainted, fell, and smashed my spine on a tub. I was never able to walk or stand more than 10-15 minutes again without severe nerve pain.
I hosted the first body-positive yoga classes in Vancouver in 2002 - before the term even existed. In 2012, I opened FitZonePLUS, a revolutionary fitness studio and body-positive movement in Toronto. As far as I know, it was the first of its kind in the world.
From 2012 to 2018, I taught yoga while overweight and in constant spinal pain, learning to adapt every pose. At my highest weight, 365 lbs, I still moved, even through 25 years of misdiagnosis, fatphobic dismissal, and a collapsing spine. I was bedridden for over 3.5 years in total. Told it was "just back pain." Told to lose weight and tough it out. But I knew better. And I refused to disappear.
In 2025, I built the system I needed to come back, to function, to feel joy, to live fully. And now I teach it.
We Move. Anyway. offers:
-
Body-positive retreats for chronic pain, menopause, mobility issues, and midlife chaos
-
E-books with real tools for women exhausted by wellness advice from green juice evangelists who’ve never lived a day in our bodies
-
MicroMoves™ - One to three minute, science-backed movements that help rebuild strength, mobility, and confidence when your body’s not ready for yoga (yet)
-
BedAsana - Yoga I created that’s practiced in bed—not because you can’t move, but because you still can. No need for a mat or to get down to the floor.
-
The MindBody Makeover - A 12-week holistic course to help you come back to your body, on your own terms
-
Menopause Support that actually helps (and doesn’t involve buying yet another $79 supplement)

After The Fall - My upcoming book blending memoir, medicine, trauma recovery, and radical movement
It’s for every woman who’s been dismissed, disbelieved, or left behind— and especially for those of us who have been called lazy.
We’re not lazy. We’re legendary!
